Stones speak

abstract modern sculpture

Elizabeth’s abstract marble sculpture entitled “Candleholders”, displayed on the gardens of the Art Museum of the Americas, Washington, DC.

Stones speak
each in its own language

Each chooses its own shape and size
Some choose to be monuments
Some choose to be fragmented
and reassembled
Some choose to be colorful

To decipher their desires
is to bring out what is already in them.
It is hard work, a work of patience
You must give them time to reveal themselves
You must take time to get to know them.   - Elizabeth Freire
